# How do Locks Work?

## Locks allow Admins to control editing capabilities and maintain brand standards.

The locks within the design tool enhance and streamline the overall design process.

- **Yellow lock**: **Warning:** If the text box or image is not customized, user will be notified to double-check. 

- **Blue lock**: **Text in Place:** User can edit content but not move.

- **Purple lock: Move:** Users can move and resize but not edir or delet. 

- **Red lock:** **Admin:** Only Admins can unlock.

- **Grey lock**: Usually used to lock design elements for convenient editing. Users can unlock.
