# \*Lock or Unlock Anything on a Template

If you lock an element, it won't be move/editable until it's unlocked. For example, to change the color of a locked element, you need to unlock it first.

 

1\. With your design open, click on LAYERS in the left-side tool menu and select the element you want to **LOCK **or **UNLOCK.**

You can also select the element directly from the **TEMPLATE.** When you select the element, a top toolbar will appear, and you can select the lock icon and **LOCK** the element.

To **UNLOCK** the element, click on **LAYERS **and click on the lock icon to unlock as needed.

When you **FINISH**, click **SAVE**.
