Share as Template: A Copy-to-User Enhancement

The Copy to User feature lets you share an editable copy of a design with one or more users on your platform. Recipients get their own version of the design that they can personalize, customize, and publish from their account. With our latest update, you can now choose whose information populates the design when you send it — your info, or the recipient's.

How to share a design

You can start a Copy to User flow from three places:

  • Design Editor — click Share in the top-right, then select Copy to User under Other Options
  • My Designs page — open the three-dot menu on any design card and select Share
  • Package Details page — open the three-dot menu on any design card and select Share

Each entry point opens the Share Design dialog. Select Copy to User to open the send flow.

Choose how the design is personalized

In the Copy to User dialog, you'll see two options:

Send with my info The design is sent with your branding and contact details pre-loaded from your profile. The recipient receives a polished starting point they can edit and personalize. Use this when you want to share an approved layout as a template.

Send with recipient's info The design is sent pre-populated with the recipient's own contact details, pulled from their profile. The recipient can open it and publish immediately — no editing required. Use this when you're handing off a ready-to-go piece.

Select recipients

In the Recipient field, search by name or email to find users on your platform. You can add multiple recipients in a single send — all recipients must be users on your platform.

Once you've added your recipients and chosen your personalization option, click Share Copy with User to send.

What recipients see

When you share a design, the recipient gets:

  1. An email notification with a direct link to open the design
  2. A new entry in their Shared with Me section, located under each AMP in the left-side navigation
  3. A "New" badge on the design card, so recently shared designs are easy to spot

From there, recipients can open, edit, and use the design like any other design in their account.

Frequently asked questions

Can I share a design with someone outside my platform? No. Copy to User is limited to users on your platform. To share with someone outside your platform, use the standard Share link option.

Can the recipient edit the design I sent? Yes. Recipients receive their own editable copy. Any changes they make do not affect your original design.

Can I send the same design to multiple recipients at once? Yes. Add as many recipients as you need in the Recipient field before sending.
